Degree Audit Reporting System (DARS)
Transfer Articulation is a term used to define a transferable course, from another institution, that has a match or equivalency for a specific UA designation. This designation could be for a specific General Studies designation, a specific course or both. Courses which transfer for academic credit but have not been articulated to a specific area or department (i.e. electives) will also appear on the SAPR.
DARS/TA Process
The articulation process flow starts with evaluating each incoming course – using the school table assigned to the institution – to verify and reconstruct the attributes of the course from the original institution into grades and conditions that apply at UA. These courses are then tentatively evaluated in terms of the receiving institution (UA) so as to determine if they will be acceptable for credit. Any required credit factoring (quarter to semester) is completed by DARS so that any articulation “credit based” tests are always displayed in the credit of the receiving institution (UA).
