Degree Audit Reporting System (DARS)

Graduation

In order to provide you with the resources needed to use the DARS exceptions site, the DARS team offers the following important components to your training:

  • One-on-one Training

  • An Exceptions Manual

  • Two Online Tutorials

Access to view or update DARS exceptions is restricted. Your department head or supervisor should submit the DARS-DA Request Form to Melanie Brady, Graduation Services, Modern Languages Building, Room 347, Campus, to request access.

Contact your Graduation Services Advisor to schedule an individual training session on making DARS exceptions.

  • To familiarize yourself with DARS, you should first complete the DARS I (Overview & Navigation) online tutorial before the actual exceptions training.
  • Prior to your training session, print the DARS User Manual and review the kinds of exceptions that an advisor can make to a Student Academic Progress Report (SAPR).
  • The individual training will cover materials presented in the DARS II (Using Exceptions) online tutorial. After your training session, you may use the tutorial as a reference, should you need to refresh your skills.

NOTE:
You will need Adobe Reader installed on your computer to view the PDF forms.
