Degree Audit Reporting System (DARS)

Graduation

SAPR stands for Student Academic Progress Report.  A SAPR is an individualized report of a student's progress toward completing degree requirements.

It is an automated degree audit that shows the student how their UA and transfer courses, as well as credit by exam, apply to their degree requirements in the following categories:

  • General Education

  • Major(s)

  • Minor(s)

  • Electives

  • University Unit Requirements

SAPR's for a student's current degree program or "What If" SAPR's that enable a student to compare their completed and in-progress course work against the requirements for any other degree program, can be requested through Student Link.

A DARS SAPR is...

  • Generated using the Degree Audit Reporting System; replacing the previous On Course SAPR
  • Available online via Student Link where they can be viewed and printed
  • Available for undergraduate programs existing since Fall 1997

A DARS SAPR is NOT...

  • A registration instrument
  • An official transcript

STUDENTS:

You are strongly encouraged to generate a SAPR each time you meet with your academic advisor--at least once each semester--to ensure satisfactory academic progress.  A SAPR is an unofficial document used primarily as an advising tool and as a means for tracking graduation requirements.  After reviewing your SAPR, if you have any questions or believe that course adjustments are needed, such as the application of any transfer course to your academic program, please consult with your academic advisor.

ADVISORS:

If you are an advisor who will be making adjustments to your students' SAPR, you may obtain instruction on how to use DARS Exceptions.  Advisors may enter exceptions, if needed, via DARS to their students' SAPR using a windows-based menu-driven interface.  DARS replaces the On Course degree audit system.
